I have had the pleasure of programming devices from several manufacturers. I have programmed at least one target machine from zero to today with each of the following manufacturers. The list is representative of the extent of experience.
Omron NB
Good old NB and NB-Designer. We're talking about a simple and great HMI that will soon be out of production, with the NA series already available as a replacement. A bit cumbersome, but you can download the program from the device and convert it to an editable state. So you can even request additions for older machines if you don't have the original program.
Omron NA
The previously mentioned NB trigger. Capacitive display, up to Windows operating system, versatile. Almost any requirement can be met with these displays! Sysmac Studio offers great developer freedom for the development of these displays.
One of my preferred displays.
Beckhoff
In Beckhoff's case, there are two types of representation. A free one, simpler, and a License obligatory one, which satisfies almost all requirements. So far I have been able to satisfy all requirements with the plain visualisation, but I am waiting for the customer who needs the License obligatory version and can put challenging requirements on paper.
Siemens KTP - TP
The usual quality under the TIA Portal. Unfortunately, not all devices can read the current programme. Backup can be done, but it cannot be undone, so it is not possible to modify the existing GUI without the original program.
Mitsubishi GOT
I've done two machine visualisations on such devices, so I don't have enough experience to write more lines about it. I can't think of any negatives that meet expectations, nor any outstanding values.
If you have not found the HMI type you need to program in the above description, don't be discouraged! Contact me and I will do the rest!
